2023 PAST EVENTS
April 29, 2023; Wetland Frogs
A small, hearty group of amphibian lovers braved the cool temperature, but thoroughly enjoyed the lively chatter of spring peepers and chorus frogs. Red winged blackbirds and others entertained us with melodic calls. We were treated also to the sly marsh rail, geese and ducks. Thanks for coming out, Friends!May 13, 2023; Woodland Wildflowers
The Friends of the Houston Nature Center along with the Houston County Extension Master Gardeners gathered to observe and learn more about early spring woodland wildflowers in the Plum Street Memorial Garden and in easily accessible areas surrounding Houston, MN.
